How I Cook Lobster Tails (Baja Camping Style)

2. Thaw and cut the bottom membrane away with a scissor.
1. Here I'm starting with raw frozen tails.
3. Baste with butter or olive oil to moisten, here
I am using olive oil.
4. Season with salt, pepper,
basil... It is almost
impossible to ruin a lobster
tail.
5a. BBQ on a high heat.
7. Check to see if done. Do not over cook!
6. The lobster will
cook in its own juice.
8. When done the tail is a bright red and the meat is
easily removed. Place back in shell and serve with
drawn butter.
5b. Close lid and cook for 12 minutes.
Add butter or oil to moisten while cooking.
Here is a simple delicious way to BBQ lobster tails. I cook them raw, shell down allowing them to cook in their
own juice. BBQ on high for 12 minutes with the lid closed, the meat will turn from translucent to white when
done. Baste a couple of times and make sure not to over cook.
